Battle Tower (Working Title)
A downloadable game
One of my all time favourite game demos was the Final Fantasy VII Battle Square demo.
One of my all time favourite game modes was the Devil May Cry Bloody Palace.
And one of my favourite turn-based RPGs battle systems had to be Golden Sun.
I've often wondered how one would combine these; wonderfully animated turn based endless battle gauntlet that gets harder the more you progress.
I decided to learn RPGMakerMV in order to implement a little proof of concept, and then based on that move over to either Unity or Unreal Engine to work on something proper if this pans out.
I decided that I’m holding myself back by continually biting off more than I can chew, so I decided to release a series of smaller, simpler Unity projects as I learn before jumping into my big dream game.
I’ll also simplify this one, focusing on the core mechanics and building something 2D before building my final game after this.
Working title comes from the fact that the endless boss rush style game will happen in a tower that has seemingly endless floors, but I think I want my games to use those unnecessarily long self-descriptive anime names, so maybe something like “I just want to go home but this stupid tower never ends”?
